Teacher Demonstration Sites – February 7, 2024

Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation members representing six local teachers’ associations will take part in a one-day strike on Wednesday, February 7. Members of the following local associations will be at demonstration sites between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.:

• • Prospector Inn, Creighton

• Northern Area Teachers’ Association 

• • Parking lot near Beauval General Store, Beauval
  • Mistasinihk Place, La Ronge
  • Cumberland House Health Centre, Cumberland House
  • Tim Hortons/Northern Store, Buffalo Narrows
  • Pinehouse Post Office, Pinehouse
  • Green Lake Communications Radio, Green Lake
  • La Loche Friendship Centre, La Loche
  • Sandy Bay Catholic Church, Sandy Bay

• Prairie Spirit Teachers’ Association 

• • Warman Home Centre Communiplex, 701 Centennial Blvd, Warman

• Saskatoon Teachers’ Association 

• • Midtown Plaza, 201 First Ave S, Saskatoon
  • Office of MLA Paul Merriman/Centre Mall, 3501 8 St E #113, Saskatoon
  • Lawson Heights Mall, 134 Primrose Dr, Saskatoon

Strike action also includes teachers represented by the Association locale des enseignantes et enseignants and Saskatchewan Distance Learning Corporation local association who work at a school or regional campus located within the above-mentioned areas. This includes ÉCF Pavillon Gustave Dubois and ÉCF Pavillon Monique Rousseau in Saskatoon, École Providence in Vonda, DLC Far North Campus in La Ronge and the DLC Central Campus in Saskatoon. The job action will affect classes for approximately 65,300 students.
