One-Word Summary

Purpose:

Facilitating Dialogue

Overview:

Learners identify the essence of learning in one key word.

Procedure:

1. Invite learners to identify one word that captures the essence of their learning and record it on a sticky note, an index card or a mini whiteboard. 
2. Provide an opportunity for learners to share their one-word summaries with a partner, small group or the class.  

Materials:

Sticky notes, index cards or mini whiteboards.
