Becoming SOGI-Inclusive Educators

Created in partnership with the ARC Foundation, this two-day participatory intensive will support you in becoming a SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity)-Inclusive educator who feels more equipped to respond to questions and resistance and to support their students, colleagues, and families through implementation of the SOGI 1 2 3 framework (policies, environment, and resources).

• Increase understanding of 2SLGBTQ language and identities.
• Develop awareness of lived experiences and diversity of the 2SLGBTQ community.
• Adopt practices and approaches to advancing SOGI-inclusive education.
• Engage in critical anti-oppressive self-reflection.
• Gain skills in responding to discrimination and resistance.

Registration closes 2 business days prior to the workshop. Payment must accompany registration. The refund deadline for all workshops and events is 10 business days prior to the start date. Registrants who withdraw prior to the refund deadline are entitled to a full refund or transfer of their registration fee.
