Online Vetting Sessions for Draft Practical and Applied Arts Curricula
This work aligns with Inspiring Success: First Nations and Métis PreK-12 Education Policy Framework, in which the Ministry of Education commits to work collaboratively with all educational partners to strengthen relationships and achieve an equitable and inclusive system that benefits all learners.
The Ministry of Education will host several one-hour online vetting sessions for renewed/new draft Practical and Applied Arts (PAA) curricula, including:
- Agriculture Business 30 – Tuesday, April 5 at 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, April 6 at 3:30 p.m.; Thursday, April 7 at 12 p.m.;
- Agricultural Equipment Technician 20, 30 – Thursday, February 10 at 12 p.m.; Tuesday, February 15 at 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, February 16 at 3:30 p.m.;
- Agriculture, Food Sustainability and Security 20, 30 – Tuesday, March 8 at 12 p.m.; Wednesday, March 9 at 3:30 p.m.; Thursday, March 10 at 3:30 p.m.;
- Agriculture Production A10, B10, A20, B20, A30, B30 – Thursday, March 2 at 12 p.m.; Tuesday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, March 9 at 3:30 p.m.;
- Design Studies 10, 20, 30 – Tuesday, March 15 at 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, March 16 at 12 p.m.; Thursday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m.;
- Entrepreneurship 20, 30 – Tuesday, March 15 at 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, March 16 at 12 p.m.; Thursday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m.;
- Food Studies 10, 20, 30 – Tuesday, February 8 at 3:30 p.m.; Thursday, February 10 at 3:30 p.m.; Thursday, February 17 at 12 p.m.;
- Life Transitions 20, 30 – Tuesday, March 1 at 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, March 2 at 12:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 3 at 3:30 p.m.; and,
- Marketing 20 – Monday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m.; Tuesday, March 29 at 12 p.m.; Monday, March 31 at 3:30 p.m.
These vetting sessions are opportunities for middle and secondary Practical and Applied Arts teachers to provide feedback on the draft curricula; participants should register here by January 31, 2022. Please note that French documents will be vetted at a later date.
