Arbos Award – Nomination Information
Abstract:
This file contains the description of the three Arbos awards as well as the nomination form for submitting a candidate.
The Arbos is the highest honour that the Saskatchewan teaching profession can bestow.
There are three types of Arbos awards, all of equal importance and prestige:
- The Arbos for Contributions to Education and the Teaching Profession
- The Arbos for Contributions to the Professional Organization
- The Arbos for Distinguished Support of Education and the Teaching Profession
The award is given to current or former STF members for contributions made while a member of the Federation. Superannuated teachers are considered to be STF members for the purpose of the award, while associate members are not. The Arbos awards are individual awards not intended for groups of people or organizations.
Nominations may be submitted by an individual or group involved in the educational community including but not limited to local associations, special subject councils, teachers, trustees, directors of education, teacher educators or officials in educational organizations. Nominations will not be accepted from parents or students.
