Abstract:
The McDowell Foundation is an independent, non-profit, charitable organization created by the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation in 1991 to improve research into teaching and learning. The Foundation encourages the active involvement of educators in the development of knowledge about teaching and learning, and it supports educational research that is practical and relevant to the classroom teacher. More than 300 research projects involving more than 1,000 teachers from across the province have received over $2 million in funding from the Foundation. Further information on teacher-led research project findings and the grant application process are available at www.mcdowellfoundation.ca.
