STF Professional Learning Annual Report 2022-23

Abstract:

“In May of 2023 the STFPL team set a strategic goal of ensuring 70 percent of our provincial workshops ran as scheduled. In order to achieve this goal, STFPL has increased the modes of delivery to include synchronous, asynchronous as well as face-to-face. STFPL also began offering 60-minute, 90-minute and evening series to support and engage Saskatchewan teachers.”

The purpose of STF Professional Learning is to create and provide high-quality professional development resources and opportunities for the members of the teaching profession of Saskatchewan and to provide support for the educational community’s pursuit of the same.
In fulfilling this purpose, STF Professional Learning believes that the resources and opportunities developed and delivered must:

• Acknowledge and respect the existing professional knowledge and skills of educators.
• Focus on deepening professional knowledge and skills with the goal of supporting student learning.
• Include opportunities for dialogue, practice, research and reflection in a supportive climate.
• Be foundational to the ongoing work of educators.
• Be sustainable over time.
• Promote and enhance cooperation and collaboration among educators.
