This unit models communicative/experiential second language teaching in a multidimensional curriculum and complements units in Core French: A Curriculum and Resource Guide for the Elementary Level (1994). Students have an opportunity to participate in a variety of learning experiences where they become familiar with pets, create and participate in a class survey to determine favourite pets, identify and describe pets, create a riddle, and interview classmates to become familiar with pet preferences. For the experiential goal, students present their own or desired favourite pet. 50 p.
